TURRIS Production Update

Hi everyone and happy Lunar New Year!


Quick update on production: We have 95% of the materials prepared (just missing one translation and rulebook + some minor adjustments on the insert) - once the holidays in China are over, we'll be ready to send everything to the manufacturer and start production.

Progress update + pledge manager reminder!

Hi everyone!


We are happy to announce that the preparation for manufacturing is in its final stage, and we are about to give the green light to the factory in the next couple of weeks. The files are being prepared in their final forms and we are almost done with the rulebook/player aid translations for the French, German and Spanish versions of the game.


One of the last things we needed to complete was the insert. Matt Healey, who designed the insert for us, has done a fantastic job of fitting the components in. It also makes us really happy that all the add-ons from our campaign can fit inside the game box, which means both easy transportation and efficient storage space usage for our backers. After some alterations from the factory to improve miniature stability in the insert, we are finally done with this important item.

Please note that the above picture is a PROTOTYPE version and the bottom one is a 3d render; the final version will be sturdier and look slightly different. In addition, all the minis are the first-draft 3d printed versions we produced all the way back during the KS - the final ones will be sturdier.


As you can see in an image, the insert consists of two pieces:

1. The smaller top piece will become home for your Scouts where they can rest between dangerous missions in attempts to complete the Tower and save the humanity. 

2. The main bottom piece fits the rest of the components. Each Beast miniature will have its own slot — and so will the Tower miniature (you want to keep the foes far from home, right?). A section of this piece stores all the cards — just as we have promised, the insert will have enough space to accommodate sleeved cards (don’t forget you can get sleeves from us too as an add-on). The other part of the insert holds the remainder of the components — tokens, punch-outs, dice, etc. The player boards will cover a section of this piece, and the main board+rulebook+player aid will be placed on top of the entire insert.


Last of all, just a final reminder to people to complete the pledge manager if you still have not! We will not be able to ship the game to you if you don't! Also, there were a few people with declined cards; please double check this with your bank.

Factional Abilities: The latest

Hi everyone!


We have finalized the design for the Faction Power cards which were unlocked as a Stretch Goal during the campaign. Here's  a preview of what you'll get:

Each faction will have a double-sided card (120x70 mm, same as our Trionfi cards), and each side will feature 2 abilities: an active skill which can be used once per turn through expenditure of Artifacts and a passive skill which triggers automatically in certain situations.


For instance, the Ministers' side A abilities are:

1) Once per turn as an action spend an Artifact to advance 1 step on the Council track, choosing any reward spot from the next level (normally you would be limited to following the advancement paths)

2) When you return to the beginning of the Council Track, gain 2 Ichor.

Side B abilities are:

1) Once per turn as an action spend an Artifact to revive up to 2 Scouts.

2) Once per turn your Force Revive doesn't expend an action (it is a free action)


Below are the other cards, including the card for the Wanderers faction from the 5th player expansion.

We hope you like this addition to Turris! Note that there will be continued play-testing and further balancing before we lock down the abilities. Our files are almost complete and ready to send to the manufacturers.

Pledge Manager Locking in 48 hours

Just a quick reminder that the Pledge Manager will be locking in approximately 48 hours and cards will be charged. If you haven't yet completed it yet we urge you to do so asap! Without it complete we will not be able to ship you your game, and we really want to!

Pledge Manager closing 10th December

Hi all,


We will be closing the pledge manager on the 10th of December, in order to lock down orders so we can finalize our arrangements with the manufacturers! We'll also be charging cards at this point so you should ensure that your card details are correct. 


There are only a few things now that need to be polished up before we submit files to our manufacturer, and this includes the insert (already almost complete!), translations (in progress!) and further balancing changes with insights from continued play-testing.
