Hi everyone!

PLEDGE MANAGER

If you haven't completed the pledge manager yet please do so ASAP - you can find your survey again (if you lost or didn't receive it) via https://turris.backerkit.com/

LATE BACK

If you didn't back during the campaign, you can late pledge here: https://turris.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

Asymmetric Factional Abilities!

We are now in the final stages of testing Turris, and though some balancing changes may still occur, everything else is pretty set in stone. One of the features added during the campaign with the help of backers are Asymmetric factional abilities.

Each of the 4 factions (5 with the 5th player expansion) will come with a double-sided Tarot-sized card, each of which will give players a choice of two sets, two powers per set. At the beginning of the game you may choose which side of the card to use (in turn order).

Each set features one active power which is used as an action and requires Artifact expenditure, and one passive power which boosts your regular abilities in some way.

For instance, Set A of the Ministers faction provides new ways to interact with the Council track and improves the old ones. Once per turn as an action you may spend an Artifact to advance 1 step on the Council Track. When using this power you are not limited to the advancement options available normally (usually you have to follow the arrows from one track space to another one); instead, you may choose ANY space on the next level. The Ministers truly know the subtleties of navigating the political landscape, so they get special benefits unavailable to other tribes. The passive power of this set grants you 2 Ichor each time you complete the Council track and return to the starting space — an offer you wouldn't want to refuse.

Pledge Manager Live!
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 30, 2020 at 01:25:56 AM

Hey everyone,

PLEDGE MANAGER

A quick update to let everyone know that the pledge manager is live! We are using BackerKit, which means they'll send our "surveys" which you need to respond to in order to provide your address and pay for shipping, as well as add any addons. You can also pledge for additional copies of the game, upgrade your pledge from a 1GBP pledge to a full one, or late pledge for the game if you or a friend missed it:

https://turris.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

BackerKit also requires us to send out whats called a "Smoke Test" to 5% of backers first to ensure our details are in order, so some of you will be getting your surveys very shortly, while others may have to wait a little while. Don't panic! We'll send another update once the 95% get their survey.

Retailers should also email us their proof of business to [email protected] - you can also get in touch there with us if you have any questions.

TURRIS DEVELOPMENT

We have of course been spending this time post-campaign to work on polishing Turris. We've been heavily playtesting and balancing (there's been minor changes to many missions and tactics cards), especially with the new factional abilities. They're mostly all Artifact based, giving this mechanic increased importance. More on that in future updates.

We've also been commissioning more card art, you can see some samples below:

Beyond this we're working on updating the rulebook, adding clarifications and errata in along with changes that are geared towards balance.

We'll be keeping everyone updated throughout this development cycle, and remain confident we can deliver in time.

Thank you!
over 3 years ago – Fri, Aug 14, 2020 at 01:25:54 AM

Turris is a reality and will be produced!

We're incredibly excited to say the above, and want to thank everybody who has supported us, especially the backers who have made this a reality. Not only have you funded the game, but you've given us all of the stretch goals we had planned, allowing us to really make this game the best it can be!

As we stated in the campaign, Turris is essentially a finished game but there are still a few things we need to do before we send to the manufacturers, including but not limited to:

  • Further play-testing to improve balance
  • Finalizing factional abilities
  • Further art work for Mission cards
  • Rulebook polishing
  • Translation polishing
  • Iconography polishing

We promise we'll be hard at work on these and other tasks as soon as the campaign finishes. Meanwhile, we'll be preparing the pledge manager for everybody - stay tuned for more info on that in the next couple of updates. We're pretty confident we can deliver this on time.

A big thank you again to everybody.

Hey everyone,

Just a quick final reminder that there's 40 minutes or so of the campaign left! We've done amazingly well to have hit all our stretch goals including the one everyone has been so excited about, gold foiled Trionfi cards!

Thank you to everyone who is joining us on this adventure,
